Kristin Szuminsky, Architect

Kristin is a highly experienced architect with 15 years of experience in the profession. Throughout her career, she has focused on institutional projects with a strong emphasis on learning strategies, health and wellness, community and stakeholder involvement, and sustainability. Her educational project experience ranges from early learning and child care to post-secondary and college facilities and campuses, and she has also worked on various civic and community projects.

As a project manager and architectural lead, Kristin has successfully completed numerous health care and lab projects that were technically complex and required extensive coordination to integrate mechanical and electrical provisions within architectural elements. She is committed to authenticity in design with sensitivity to context and a deep appreciation for the multidisciplinary needs of educational and healthcare projects.

Kristin’s approach to design includes planning for flexibility to allow spaces to change and transform with the needs of clients. She believes in creating opportunities for people to have unique and memorable experiences in spaces, both shared and personal, and to find joy in everyday life.
